I mean, if you're five and you're losing your family to violence, what do you have to turn into?

We have to care enough about people outside of our borders. Inside, too, Our society places so much value on getting kids born but then just abandons them.Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06775321569395417274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6485074955809728594.post-84153172069366375522012-12-20T21:26:35.654-08:002012-12-20T21:26:35.654-08:00"The violence that happened in the US recentl..."The violence that happened in the US recently is an eye opener to us, but in too many countries it's the status quo."

THIS

I seriously cannot handle how much people bitch as if terrorist acts (internal and external) should NEVER happen in the US, but elsewhere it's expected. We are country in a world full of violence; it's not as if we're immune from that world. People will try and bomb/attack/terrorize us -- we bomb/attack/terrorize SO MANY PEOPLE.

Of course every mass shooting -- and single shooting -- is terrible and should be stopped. But we're not special snowflakes just because we're Americans. We obviously don't know how to stop violence within our borders any more than we know how to stop it elsewhere.

REGARDLESS -- I'm sorry you've been having a shitty week. :(Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
